a couple of the most recent reviews talked about either the MB being DOA or the onboard video not workings.
this is a very basic MB at a very cheap price AR, so dont expect all the bells and whistles of more expensive MBs that have gigabit Ethernet, SATA 6, etc.
This board does not have on board video, so yes 100% fail. I have this board running very well with Athlon II and Windows 7 Professional. No issues. It is a basic board and basic BIOS. No ACC for unlocking cores, SATA II and USB 2.0 only.
i just picked up a used black series mb, i dunno but tthe bios settings suck for a black series. beware of ecs.
Frys uses this brand of motherboard in their "Great Quality" line of computers, so you know they have to be top quality.

This is the second ECS mother board I bought with-in a month. The first one cost me 20 dollars after 20 mail-in rebate. This one cost me 15 dollars after 20 dollars mail-in rebates.This is another good ECS board that I put together with-in a month. I have to use two different name and address to get the rebates, But that not a problem for me..I have lot of name and address.
This ECS Motherboard do not come's with onboard video. Without a video card this would not run or work..Please make no mistake about it.. This motherboard can Overclock Any CPU with no problems. Got mine Phemon II 840 3.2 ghz to 3.68 ghz with no problems. But!. Cannot go over 3.7ghz or it will crash.. I'am using stock cooling.If you use a after market cpu fan, it will do better..
#6 I know the specialification say only 95watts cpu on Newegg.. But!. if you read the reviews. There's about 3 to 4 people say they use 125watts with no problems and when you have more than 3 people say that, Usually they don't lie.. Beside, If you check out the ESC sites. It's say clearly support up to 125 watts.. Either way, This is a very good motherboard. If you like to save money got a used video card laying around, This is a good deal. I might buy more 15 dollars A/R is a no brainer, ECS rebates is good, I have bought more than 10 ECS motherboard this year and never miss a rebate...

^ The problem with overclocking is the reviewers do it, run a benchmark at most, then declare it can without even owning the board for a year. That it can power a 125W CPU without bursting into flames is not proof it can do it long term without failure.
It's a great value if you have a spare video card or find one cheap enough with a rebate but it's not the right choice if planning on a stock or overclocked CPU that'll use even the base 95W figure, let alone more.
However, the way AMD rates CPUs, some don't actually use what they are rated to. For example if you have two CPU from the same family with the same voltage and one at 3.0GHz rated for 95W and one at 3.4GHz rated for 95W, obviously the one with higher clock speed should use more power with all else being equal but the 95W is a max power so the 3.0GHz has to have a lower true wattage.
Regardless, it's not just an issue of board lifespan, boards capable of higher power reduce ripple and this allows higher stability per average voltage so the board and CPU run cooler at any particular speed, with heat being the ultimate limit in most o'c scenarios.
