I have one of these. It works by creating another SSID for a secondary network that has tha same name as your original SSIS plus some numbers along with the same password. So it extends your wireless range but you have to manually select the secondary network SSID, it does not extend the original SSID name. Not sure if all range extenders work this way but it would have been nice to keep the same SSID and just extend the range.
