This is a great, tiny, travel router and wifi access point. I use it for both while travelling. It is very small, and very easy to use, but you may need to be comfortable with wifi technolgy to configure it. It has a lot of different capabilities! I did not try the automatic configuration software that came with it, so I can't comment on that, but, if you know what you are doing, it is easy to configure it to act as a wifi accress point or as a wifi router. Basically you just have to select - point and click on the setup page at 198.162.2.1 - which mode you want to use it in and take the default settings.
