Thanks for the info #1; was going to recommend to a friend with a PS3 but will hold off.
Get the PC version. The requirements are surprisingly light for it to look as good or better than the console versions. Plus you'll have a TON more flexibility in terms of customizations and control. This game rocks, I was glad to give the developers my $60. Honestly would feel guilty about paying less for this title and I do not often say that.
This game has tons of bugs and glitches. I thought it was my Xbox but I tried it on another and it has the same problems. Go to Youtube and search for Skyrim and glitch. You can find vids of dragons flying backwards, characters wearing pots or barrels, 10 minute scene changes, quests where a person you are supposed to find isn't in the spot on the map as indicated, on and on. Some people report no problems so I would guess it is hit or miss. I should have waited until a few patches came out and other people worked out the kinks.
Another reason to get the PC version. The patches ahve been coming out first for that platform to the best of my knowledge. Personally I've noticed VERY few glitches in the 80 or so hours of play. Yeah, I'll see the underside of a rock once in a rare while but way less often then in similar games in this (or any other) category. Hopefully they'll smooth things out for the PS3 and Xbox version soon. A lot of people complain about the PC UI and although I agree to a point, I don't think it's anywhere close to being a dealbreaker. I play using a PS3 controller so it doesn't bother me as much. I like having the ability to adjust my speed in an analog fashion.
PS3 version lag problem is still unfixed, be weary.
