Charger, not jump start cables. You'd need to find somebody who'll wait 30 minutes plus with their engine running to charge your battery enough for it to start on it's own. Get jumper cables, much more use.
Or get one of those portable batteris with jumpstart cables on it. They usually have reverse polarity protection,allow you to run 12v devices and you can throw it in the back of your car and just charge up every couple of months. This one's pretty good

or get a new car battery so you aren't continually jumping it.
Seriously, batteries are pro-rated, if you just buy a new battery with that discount your yearly cost is not much higher to replace it before it leaves you stranded rather than buy gadgets, explain to your boss or friends why you're MIA, be out in the cold or rain or whatever.
... carry a jumper cable with you anyway so you can help someone else who didn't follow my advice.
