Newegg has the refurbished Emerson CKS9031 Dual Alarm Clock Radio for $10 - $10 rebate [Exp 2/28] = $0 with free shipping. Goes for $22+ brand-new. Features a digital tuner, one-touch radio and a large 1.4" blue LED display. Good reviews on Amazon.
Most of the reviews say it's worthless. There WAS one 5-egg rating. The reviewer wrote:
Pros: EXCELLANT HELICOPTER.
Guess that says it all.
I've had one for a couple of months and paid $6 after the rebate. Its a good clock/alarm radio full featured. It has a big clock you can't miss from a distance, two alarms and other features. The radio is not too good, but what do you want, it has not bass, but it will wake you up with a buzzer, too. It works fine and does the job. A real bargain.
They forgot to refurbish mine. Seems like others experienced the same issue.
The bad news is:
Return for refund within: non-refundable
So if you return it, you risk getting another bad one, and you can't return it to get your money back.
I got it back with the previous deal for $6, but decided to cut my losses and just submit the rebate to get back part of my money vs. the chance of getting a bad one (and pay for return shipping).
The good news on this one though is that if you get a bad one, just submit the rebate and at least you get your money back minus a stamp and tax (if you live in CA).
Bad in what way though? Even if all it does is sit on a shelf and tell time, that's not bad for $0.
DARN!!!. When it come to FREE $0 I'm always get beat out

OUT OF STOCK !!! SORRY NO RAIN CHECK.
Oh sorry - that was bad news for me since I got it in the $6 deal - would have been a great price even at $6 though if it worked.
