It would kick the sit out of a Bose system for 1/3 the price.
Energy does make good speakers... but they lack the sexy look....
never heard of this brand
wow RKLE, hope you were joking. great set of speakers, get it paired up with an entry level sub for another $200, and you'd have yourself a decent beginner's system.
I recently purchased this set of speakers and they are awesome. I paired them with a great sub that I got for a little over $200. Do any research on AVSforums.com and you'll know what I am talking about. I don't really know if this an amazing deal b/c I bought them for this price at wwstereo a few months ago. They are still $199 w/ free shipping. http://www.wwstereo.com/#/ecommerce/store/Speakers/33/144606/120_84__0_-1/
great speakers.
these were $500 when they first came out
Energy is a Canadian company and they make good stuff. The 5.1 version, these speakers with a 200w 8" subwoofer were highly rated on Audioholics. I personally prefer slightly larger bookshelf speakers that comfortably go down to at least 80hz but these good satellites. Pair them with an Energy 200w sub or a TSC T250 for about $250 more and you'd be styling.
FWIW vanns was selling the 5.1 version for $399 but they are out of stock. That was a heck of a deal.
Energy is no longer a Canadian company. Its parent API was bought by Klisch an American company so they're now technically an American company.
I have the 5.1 setup and with the sub in the corner of the room they give a great range of sound without taking up alot of room.
AVSforums is where I found out about them. A great place to read up on opinions. Just not Bose.
Yep. You don't talk Bose over at AVS unless it's trash talk.
Got this set with a Energy S8.3 for 299.98. Rocking my room =D
what size rooms are you guys using these in or what max size room would you recommend?
