That price ($6.06) is if you buy FIFTY. But $7.11 for one ain't bad either. Of course, then the thread goes on to say you should replace the ear pads and the cables!! Huh? Monoprice is THE place for all things cable related, but really--buy the ear buds, then tear them apart and rebuild them? Think I'll pass.
I can understand that most people will not want to go through all the trouble of buying new eartips (or re-cabling them). I personally have only changed the eartips and that is all I plan on doing.
But the sound on these is amazing. I have had tons of different headphones, from expensive to cheap. These 8320s are the best bang for the buck ever. The sound is so clear, without any bright highs or muddy lows. The mids perfectly balanced as well. And there is a quality bass punch (as long as you have a proper seal).
Where these really shine is their Soundstage. IEMs should not sound like this. It has air vents on the outside that help to create this awesome sound, however, that is where there is isolation leak is as well.
These really can be compaired to IEMs from $50-$100. But for a fraction of the price.

Keep in mind that people on head-fi also do cable mods to perfectly good cables on other cans for no particular reason other than that they can and are bored.
Some do it when original cables fail or because they want a different length, but the beauty of $8 IEMs is that if the cable eventually breaks you can just buy a new pair.
Is the seller a reputable seller? I have not purchased from them before.
Monoprice is VERY well known for their high quality products at inexpensive prices.
I purchase from them all the time.
BTW, if anyone is looking for over the ear headphones with a little isolation. The Monoprice 8323 are only $29 after shipping. Great sound for the price. Has a decent amoutn of bass too.
Buy these. Buy the max of 4 of them. They are AWESOME. They are my favorite pair of IEMs.
Here is a 130 page thread on how great they are on Head-Fi.org: http://www.head-fi.org/t/580769/the-monoprice-8320-mep-933-the-7-11-club
*Note* Most people have issues with the stock tips. They are pretty bad. I just took my eartips off some other IEMs to use on the Monoprice 8320.
These also make great gifts. I give them out to all my friends and family.
..
Thanks for the link Stumpy, they do look great for the price.

It was $5.98 for a quantity of one earlier, but they raised the price in the past hour, unfortunately.
