Up to 40 MPH? I'm going to add this to a Wal-mart bike (purchased from this site). Nothing can go wrong!

    Assume it works as advertised.

What do you do when it rains? When it snows? When the semi pulls out and squishes you? When you have to transport items for work? For self? When you need to take your children with you? Haul campaign signs to support your favorite candidate? When the government employed union workers decide half-assed is good enough and the potholes reopen 2 years before they should, and you crater your rim -- at higher speeds?

I think every American sobacont should buy one of these and cruise the interstates to show how green and earth-friendly they are. I am going to add spikey things to my axles to clean up the road.

Wrong. the 80cc is $139.99 . the 50cc is $124.99 with all the Ben's Bargain traffic sometime the price goes up, or Ben's been drinking again.

These are worse than cars, no joke. They emit pollution like crazy - unlike cars, they have no catalytic converters which control pollution. It's the same as running a gas lawnmower or lighting gas on fire.

#11, these are not like a gas lawnmower or lighting gas on fire. THEY ARE MUCH WORSE.

These are 2 cycle engines which means you must add oil to the gas so you burn oil. These are far more polluting than anything else, because nothing else these days even uses a 80cc 2 stroke engine. The reason they're made in China is that it's unlikely to even be legal to make them in the US anymore, it's also questionable if they can even be imported but there are loopholes.

Also remember that 50cc is the cutoff point, at which many states require a license, registration, insurance... fun stuff like that because it's no longer considered a bicycle.

the question is why would anyone put this on their bike in the first place. I am sure the safety aspect is questionable at best. And isn't the point of getting a pedal bike is for excercise? Why not just get a moped or a scooter. this is retarded.

um #14 - gas lawnmowers use 2 cycle engines, except perhaps the very expensive models. These small bike gas engines are just as legal as lawnmower engines. I'm guessing you own a gas lawnmower and won't own up to being a horrible polluter?

This'll do well for the healthy living... nasty 2 cycle engine emissions and fatter people who don't pedal anymore.

#17, gas lawnmowers do not use 2 cycle engines, and haven't for about a decade, since they became illegal in a few states. If you add the oil to gas in a ratio, it's 2 cycle. If you add the oil to the crankcase it's 4 cycle. Here in WI you can still buy a 2cycle snowblower, but not a lawnmower. FWIW, I bought my 4cycle lawnmower (with a briggs and stratton engine) for 129 bucks.
