HandHelditems.com has the EPA Certified Motorized Bicycle Engine 80cc kit for $140 - coupon code handheld10 [Exp 12/31] + $13 shipping = $126 shipped. An 80cc motor can get you to 25-40MPH and can get about 100-150 mpg.

I think this is pretty neat but you'd look even more retarded than the people who ride mopeds around. Just another testament to how lazy people are getting

These things are really cool. I have seen a few people on campus with the engine conversions and they enjoy putting along at 20+mph. It looks like it would especially be nice going uphill. My friend is debating on getting one but he said that the best ones are the slightly more expensive kits listed on ebay.

In many states anything over 50cc is no longer considered a moped, but a motorcycle. So if this is 80cc you might need to have a license, insurance, etc.

Licensing depends on the state. In Oregon, anything over 50cc needs a license. Check with your DMV.

#3: no, it's not necessarily a lazy tool. I have a 50-odd year old coworker who commutes 15 miles to work on something similar. He says that it makes the 3/4 mile 500' elevation hill much easier. He considers it a pedal-assist instead of a pedal-replacement.

These engines create 40x the amount of Particulate Matter pollution as a typical car. EPA certified my ASS!!! Knowing that, You'd have to be a complete jack-ass to even think about using one.

I see in the Also-Bought column that buyers of this device saved $3 on The (Talking) Swearing Finger Keychain - Rated R. Possibly members of Hell's Little Angels?

I would not trust these motors for very long, and given that they probably do not have a decent parts network established, you'll likely be sol if anything breaks. If you want cheap transportation buy a honda scooter that the DOT has certified as safe and will hold a good deal of it's resale value when you're ready to move on.
