Sorry #1 -- it takes Ben hours to scour other bargain sites to cut and paste for this site. I got an email this morning from Epson about this printer and that's why it's sold out now.
Almost bought one on impulse. Good thing I took the extra seconds to check out the review by CNET (http://reviews.cnet.com/multifunction-devices/epson-artisan-800/4505-3181_7-33241287.html). This unit got blasted in the review, sucks too cuz it looks pretty decent and prints on CDs/DVDs.
Shows as in stock as of 6:00 PM Pacific time on 10/06/2009.
Build quality is better than the Canon I replaced, drivers have been updated since that cnet review. I would buy again. I paid $150 a couple months ago from Staples, added the $30 duplexer (the 810 comes with the duplexer). The 810 does add support for the iphone but that was not a need/want for me. Picture quality is a lot better than my 6 month old Canon!
Be sure to turn off automatic head maintenance to save on ink.
I really like mine. I like the built in wireless and the two trays that autoselect depending on what you are printing. Tray seems funky/floppy/plasticky, but it's fine for home use. Love the quality.
LOL Just posted and already out of stock.
