No, No, No. This isn't 1600x1200. This is 1024x768 (XGA) and is 4:3 aspect ratio (think black bars if watching movies). Decent for a computer however anyone running at 1024x768 these days is going to have a tough time. Probably best for powerpoint presentations in the board room.
The 1760W is a WXGA which means it is widescreen but 16:10 not the typical 16:9 that movies are in. This means it is more like a high-end computer screen (1920x1200, 2560x1600, etc). However the 1760W model does only 1280x800 resolution. Decent for...well, I guess powerpoints or 720p movies but not in their native format. In theory you could stretch it to fit a 16:9 screen but you would see gray/black bars past the screen's edge.
Just wanted to point out the resolution correction and put it into perspective. Very good price for a low-res 4:3 projector though!
