I have last years model. It is great for watching both movies and sports. It is very quiet, and very flexible in terms of room placement given the zoom and lens shift. This model is brighter and has higher contrast. Get a cheap screen (HT Depot) and you have a 100" plasma like picture for $1500.
But how much are replacement bulbs?
Varies - about $225. It could last 5000 hours so I would not be too concerned unless you have this on 24X7
