No mention of being compatible with Windows7.
#1, did you bother to click on the link and see the big ass blue logo of Win 7?
Only 4800 dpi? I need to scan a postage stamp for printing on a billboard.
Nice deal for a quality scanner. But go for V300 if you want to scan negative/film..
Darnit! I have an (obviously) older SCSI Canon scanner that I cannot kill and that just works wonderfully, w/ excellent resolution and still generates great images. Maybe if I focus on the LED savings ('cause I do soooo much scanning these days...) I can convince myself to part w/ a few bucks for a new toy?
legacy is so....eighties!
I actually own this Scanner and yes it does work with Windows 7 (x64 I'm running) Not a terrible scanner, I've used it for scanning letter documents and some photos. For basic needs it does an excellent job, but by no means for professional use.
Got mine off newegg last spring

People usually buy more scanner than they need. If all you have to do is scan documents, just buy a really cheap all-in-one that has a scanner on it, provided it's not too ugly and you have the space for it. This one is overkill for most tasks.
