This is essentially the short-lived 8800GS, but double-slotted and if you have the room for it and you don't need to run Crysis maxed out, a pretty great deal. OTOH if you need cutting edge three months ago, spend twice as much and get a great card with an 8800GT. Or if you just gotta have it, spend three times as much and buy the Radeon 4850 and be ahead of the curve for awhile. If you buy into the rampant paranoia about nVidia's defective cards, definitely shell out for the 4850. $150 for an outstanding card is a pretty good deal. But for $50, I don't think anybody can touch this. I'm totally happy with my EVGA Superclocked 8800GS, and play CoH too much. Your mileage may vary.

#2, don't post about things you don't know. What games can't it run? Oh, that's right, it can run everything. My son has an 8800gs, with an X2 5000+ on a 19" CRT, and can play anything currently out. Crysis even runs smooth on medium/high at 1280x1024.

#3 is right. This is an excellent card for the money, if you don't mind waiting for the rebate. As far as rebates go, EVGA is about the best, at least from my experience.

#4, this is from personal experiance. I do own this card(not the 8800GT) and it's sitting on my shelfs. Cant run Age of Conan. Maybe like #3 said, my card might be short lived.

Unless you've got a faulty card, or some software issue, this card can more than handle Age of Conan.

The video requirements seem to be - Video Card: Shader Model 2.0 and 128MB RAM: NVIDIA GeForce 5800 or ATI 9800

This card is much, much faster than that.

The ATI 4670 cards are looking very strong against these older card mid-low Nvidia offerings and walks on the new 9500GT in value and performance. Nvidia is just trying to get cards like this 9600GSO / 9600GT moved out of the market before buyers looking for a nice midrange offering gravitate to 4670. And, no we aren't talking strictly a gamers card, but as an all around consideration, providing Blue Ray with integrated 8-channel audio for both HDMI and DisplayPort. With very nice low power requirements (no PSU upgrade) and some reviews indicating good OC'ing it has the right stuff for many mainstream users.
It's interesting that in the beginning Guru3D either had a miss-type or was it alluding to another product when they said “As stated the Radeon HD 4680 will roughly offer you last year's mid-range performance at 79 USD.” If ATI could give you 8800GT/3870 FPS and all these extra's on one card at $80 that would be one nice offering.
