Received this exact item as a gift and asked the same question. Now I would not do without. No more unscrewing the spindle cover everytime I need a disc and hoping I screwed the cover back on tight so when I grab the whole spindle and cover I don't spill them all over the place.

Got a bunch of different colored ones at Geeks.com. Paid about $3 for them. Agree with #2. 1 for each different type of disk.

If it spit the disc's out like they were ninja throwing stars I might have a use for this.

Looks like the bottom is open so the dispensed disc may have dust on writing surface prior to use. This is prevented in the sealed spindle. Even at $6, I can't bring myself to get it.

The reason you wanna buy this is the EXACT reason why the Chinese economy grows at 10% a year.

Their description: " Don't subject yourself ever again to opening a case and spilling disks everywhere. Oops! Getting out a disk is so simple. Just place the disk spindle on the dispenser and push the button and voila! A disk appears! Fear not if you need more...The spring-loaded mechanism works hard to keep those disks coming out fast..."

This reminds me of that "toothpaste dispenser" commercial that's been around lately. It's an invention that solves a problem that no one with the capacity to operate a telephone has ever had.

Still, I can understand that if you use blank discs a lot it'd be easier than unscrewing the stack each time.

#16, you must understand some people might not be able to process 2 steps at once. First step is to look at the price of the item. Second step is harder to archive for someone else.

I know we're a consumerist economy, but good lord people, can we still continue to blame obesity on burgers and fries with stuff like this around? This is indolence to the extreme.

#19, Unfortunately, this item is NOT eligible for the Free Super Saver Shipping discount (above $25). Only items stated as eligible for Free Super Saver Shipping discount count towards the $25 order.
