bought this game at retail and had a total blast.. great game!
If you really want to go "deep into the most hostile environment of Africa", a plane ticket to Oakland or Atlanta might cost less than this game.
Opinions on whether the Xbox controller is acceptable, versus a standard keyboard/mouse on the PC version? I'm still looking for a game that gives me close to the same experience -- although I don't think that will ever happen.
#1 no, i am not opinions on this game...
the game is fun and has some nice features (like day/night, being able to start fires, used weapons with performance issues). it looks great on an HD tv. the map is huge, giving you a lot to explore.
my biggest complaint is that it takes a really long time to reload when you die (and I die a lot). It's a little annoying that outposts you clear always have fresh bad guys every time you return.
Hurry up and play it before Uwe Boll ruins it for everyone.

controls work fine on xbox, wish I would had waiting instead of paying retail.
