There has always been a discrimination against left-handed guitarists. Not sure why.
The percentage of the population who are left-handed is about 10%

Personally I'd rather watch CraigsList and get an acoustic guitar of equal or greater value for less money. If you want new I would bet you could go to a local guitar store, if you have a local guitar store that is, and get a better buy.
Go to guitar center, don't buy a real instrument an electronics place.
Starcaster is cheap-assed Fender. buy a used of better quality and name.
Buy a guitar from your local guitar shop. Don't buy one from Best Buy or Guitar Center. Support the local guys. I purchased my Guitar from Guitar Center and have always felt a guilty about it. The local guys will give you the best support, lessons and will be much more appreciative in the future.
I hate Guitar Center. The salespeople are annoying, and their prices are no better than a mom and pop.
