Amazon has the Fenix PD32R5 Flashlight for $54 with free shipping. Features a CREE XP-G white LED with 50,000-hour lifespan, uses two three-volt CR123A batteries, and includes limited lifetime warranty.
A much better flashlight is a Terralux and its priced at approx. 25 dollars also uses standard AA batteries which are cheaper. See here TerraLUX-TLF-3C2AAEX-LightStar220-Aluminum-Flashlight/dp/B001IMCU66
^ What you refer to is a good value light, I too like lights with 2 x AA format but it's not as bright and gets substantially dimmer as the batteries drain. I'd consider it a good option for casual use while the Fenix is more geared to professional use.
$54! This is the BARGAIN price?!?!?
if you gotta ask....

The Terralux is a fine light, and taking standard AAs, I'd prefer it. But I already own a Zebralight so it's moot.
But the Fenix is brighter, and if my past experience with Terralux products is any experience, the Fenix is better made, too.
The Amazon page fails to note that the Fenix can run from an 18650, too, which is definitely useful.
