battle system in this game is awesome. Kinda a mix between mmorpgs and typical turn based fighting....still not as good as grandia tho

Bah. The FF games have been going downhill since FFVI, which was the greatest FF of them all. My friends have FFXII and it seems kind of boring, empty and tedious to me. Plus, all the male characters look like Thai ladyboys. It's burp up when you comment that someone is a "cute little chickie", but then find out that it's actually the "prince". It's all those goddamn 3D graphics. Back in the old days, all FF characters still looked like ladyboys, but you couldn't tell because they were composed of a few sprites. Smile

fatbollet, trust me you wont regret buying the game i've been playing since it came out and its crazy. Seamless gameplay is the biggest difference. I feel like this game pushed ps2 to its limits.

Actually mcigar (#15), some new games such as Gran Turismo 4 for the PS2 are in 1080i (which is HD). See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Progressive_Scan_PS2_Games

Despite not being in 1080i which would be great..bacon is also in 480p which is still better I think since its closer to a movie.

FF tactics was amazing, FF6 was the best one to me, and right after that would be FF7. I haven't played any final fantasies after 9, so i've been deprived...

This game has everything in it ! The game play is smooth. I love how you can customise your charactors battle plans and the new accessory grid is off the HOOK!
