It took watching the movie Serenity to realize that this show must be pretty decent.... that being said I still haven't and wouldnt' buy the dvd for $20.
One of the best Sci-Fi series I've watched. It strikes the right balance of action and comedy to make it very enjoyable to watch. It's a shame that it was canceled before the first season was even finished. I still re-watch the series every now and then so getting the DVD set is worth $20.

Great show
The theme music in the intro of this show is what killed it. I'd guess more people turned it off half way through the intro than held on and watched it through. I've got this set, as well as Serenity, and this show should have been resurrected on SciFi channel. One of the best shows out there for SciFi.
A great show; a shame it was cancelled, especially so early into its life. If you aren't convinced enough to drop the money buying the DVDs, do yourself a favor and rent the episodes.
#1 - You understand that this is not "the DVD", it is 4 DVDs. All episodes of Firefly produced. Very good price. Might have to buy yet another to give away.

Ehhh, I never got into this. I watched every episode thinking, maybe I'll really start likening it after watching one more, but it basically turned into just another excuse to be a couch potato.
Universal HD channel ran all the episodes and then the movie in full HD a while back. Great series. Great movie.

Used to be around $18 in amazon - then demand went up and all the stores raised their price to 40 bucks. THis is a good price!
