Sure.. the show sucked, which is why the movie got made after it was canceled. And why the box set is continuously sold out, and why the price rarely drops. And why there's discussion of yet another movie.
Why don't the folks who think the show sucked take a look around. Firefly was the epitome of classic science fiction.

I thought that the lackluster sales for Serenity in the theatre combined with the random demise of several characters meant the series was over. And like #9 mentioned, the cast are doing various other projects. I certainly hope you are right!

great great series and movie
have the set - nicely done and a great show
I have to agree this was a great series and the movie was awesome. I have to agree with no. 12, 99% of the time if I watch it from the beginning it usually dies off quickly. Cancelling this was a crime and from what I've heard Joss said no way to any movie sequels.
#13, the movie is already on HD DVD. One of my two free choices when I bought my HDA2 from BestBuy last month. Haven't seen a HD release of the series though.
