Blockbuster.com has their online rental service $10 for your first month, then
$17.99 per month. You get one free in-store rental (games included), unlimited online rentals (3 out at a time) with free shipping, no return dates.
You can return your online DVDs to a store and immediately receive a free in-store rental in exchange. They will also count that online DVD as having been returned, and proceed to ship the next DVD in your queue.
Netfliz is a better deal. I have tried the Blockbuster program three times and every time half the movies I signed up to have shipped are "unavailable", unlike my Netflix membership.
Try Netflix instead as they have a free two week trial for the same program (without the in-store rentals, which doesn't bother me since I don't like waiting in line forever on Friday and Saturday nights).
Is there a service that isn't block buster that does games AND movies? Can you get games with this deal via mail?
#1, are you talking about new releases being unavailable? Netflix does something similar. Netflix shows 'long wait' or 'very long wait' for movies that are in demand.
#1, I hope you enjoy being throttled. Fhag.
#2, Why would you want to mess with a service for games unless you play each game nonstop for 24 hours and then send it back the next day. It just doesn't seem like you can get your money's worth with a mail-in rental service for games. Eh... I guess I could be wrong. I'm not really sure how much Blockbuster charges for game rentals or even if their "no late fees" apply to game rentals. Seems like if the no late fees apply to game rentals, that would be a better route than a monthly subscription fee.
WARNING....check your account online...Blockbuster has changed things up.... Had the $9.99 plan:
WAS:
--1 movie out at a time (unlimited)
--1 free in-store rental coupon per month
--unlimited in-store exchanges (this is what gave them the edge over NetFlix...and the one above)
NOW:
--1 movie out at a time (unlimited)
--NO MORE rental coupon
--ONLY 2 in-store exchanges per month (am not too happy about this!
If you want unlimited in-store exchanges, I think you have to pay $17.99 or something like that. Am not too happy about this! This is very sneaky of them...
