    these are pretty useful to have especially since they're easy to carry around because they're flexible and easy to fold up.

    #2 it's in the manual on how to fold it. I'm sure the pictures will make it easier to understand as it is a pretty involved and complex operation to get this into the folded position.

    We gave my brother-in-law one of these for his birthday a few years back. He used it a few times but then just found it easier/quicker to set his camera on something or have someone take the picture for him.

    "It weights 300g." Seriously? Couldn't you say it weights a little over 1/2 lbs? Who weighs stuff by grams and kilograms here in the US, except engineers anyways?

    No, not for SLRs. But the company Joby that makes the gorilla pods make bigger, more robust models for larger equipment.
