Can someone that owns this comment on how much weight it will hold? I want a small tripod on which to mount my DV camcorder.

MisterE... It really depends on how much your camcorder weighs. My guess is that it'll be too heavy. I have a Sony DSC-V3 camera, and, while it's fine for sitting upright on flat surfaces, it's about at the upper end of what this thing can hold for any tilt or severe unevenness...then again, you're probably not looking to videotape in portait mode. Smile Gorilla pod (http://www.joby.com/) does sell a heavier-duty version for SLR cameras (what I should've gotten). You *might* be able to get away with this one, but if I were you I'd opt for a sturdier one.

Also keep in mind the point of this pod and the gorilla's are to be able to wrap the flexible legs around objects to hold your camera in difficult situations...so if you don't need that, just go with a standard mini pod that wont cost much more than this and will be sure to hold the weight.
