This will make sure you're not late in the morning. Buy.com has the Flying Alarm Clock for $10 + $0 shipping = $10 shipped. If you haven't already figured it out, this alarm clock shoots out a flying contraption that must be returned to the cradle to shut off the alarm. [BizRate]

can't wait for the flying contraption to lose itself and a less friendlier way is found to shut off the alarm...

I used to have a flying alarm clock.

The first time it woke me up at 6:00am, I assisted its flight. It abruptly stopping its annoying chimes when it came to rest in several pieces on the floor having collided at high speed with the far wall of my bedroom.

Now I just wake up when I wake up, as nature intended. This is a much more restful system.

Pair this with 30.6 shotgun, and waking up in the morning is fun again.

This might infact be the most annoying gift.

Wait 'till handhelditems hears about this.

I'm getting this for my brother. That jerk woke me up all through high school with his snoring. Time for some payback!

Have it, love it. Put it in the kids room with something under an edge so the chopper goes different places. Makes them wake up and turn on the light. Takes 2 AA batteries. Alarm sounds like the red-alert klaxon from Star Trek (Original Series), but with only half a second between klaxons (Trek had about a second or so). Alarm sounds until you replace the chopper, so if it takes 5 minutes to find the blade, you're getting an earful. Chopper is soft plastic and doesn't hurt if it hits you (doesn't feel good, but can't say it actually hurts). Good backup for when the power goes out.

    #5 - Here's a selection of progressive alarm clocks

(has the same chopper alarm above for $40 -- so they're other stuff is probably 3x-4x discount)

Sooner or later, the clock itself will be in the air instead of the contraption ...
