Meritline has the Focus Zoom Lens Cree Q3 Flashlight for $10 with free shipping. Features advanced focus system with a fisheye lens, 200 Lumens of output power from a white LED Cree Q3 bulb, and a black aluminum body.
#2 is correct, lumen output is much more likely half of what's stated. Decent light for the price, but if the zoom feature is unneeded consider looking for an R2 or R5 light for much greater output.
The light output off the LED is probably about half what they state, then they use the optics in a non-optimal way to focus it (LED NEEDS to stay within the cavity of the lens to retain reasonable efficiency). This is probably 100 lumens on a brand new battery with the head all the way down, dipping as low as 60 lumens or less before a half hour runtime has elapsed.
Then again, it is cheap. It wouldn't be the only LED light I own but you don't necessarily need lights that are only seldom or secondary use to be top notch.
#3 this zoom light works very well. I have one and it quickly becomes my favorite led light. It is very bright. My 2000 mAh Eneloop lasted about 45 minutes. Very good light for the money. Wish it has multiple mode to save some power when I don't need all the light sometimes. Very sturdy. The screws holding the clip got loose but I fixed it by couple small drops of lock-tite.
My kids and wife all think I am crazy buying so many LED flash lights, headlights and on and on.... Now I understand why they have so many pair of shoes and handbags but still keep on buying ! Buying LED light are the real MAN thing !!!
can double as a light saber
Think this is the same as SIPIK SK68 Cree Q3-WC 120-Lumen Convex Lens LED Flashlight at dealextreme.

At least it doesn't have the 3 AAA batteries that put out a lot of light for 5 minutes and then it goes dim until the batteries are completely dead.

#8 dave said it right, save your surefires for when you need them most and pull out this standby for all the other times.

I bought one, flashlights are cool. Can't ever have too many, within reason of course.
When it comes to flashlights, there is no reason. I have hundreds of them.
