these things are strictly dollar store items...

they are NOT bright at all.. i mean not even bright enough to walk down a hallway in a dark house without tripping anyways.

23 for two of these? wow. another site had them for 1.50 ea (where i got mine)

anyways - i'm very disappointed. There are far better batteryless flashlights around, using winding, or shaking, and other methods... that are much much brighter too. save your $$.

i agree with #1. however, if your eyes are adjsut to complete darkness, these will help.

unfortunately, these are a complete waste of money and even worse at this price.

Ben - please take tehm off the site, ASAP.

I got these at BigLots for $1 a piece. It's debatable whether they are worth that much.

not worth $1. Think of how much it costs to dump this properly after you got tired of the flash light

All of the ones that I have seen like these have WATCH BATTERIES in them.. look closely and you will see. In PART it runs off the coil charge, but mostly its the watch battery.... once the battery dies, the flashlight dies.

These are worthless. There is a magnet that slides back & forth to charge the battery when you shake it. Most the energy is lost when the magnet hit the end & has to reverse directions.

Get a hand crank version, much less effort to charge and the light will last alot longer.

I can see these being used in a 2nd grade science class to show how a generator works, beyond that they are worthless as useful tools.
