So Forza 2 was my favorite game on the 360, bought the wheel and everything. When I heard Forza 3 was coming out I assumed all that was going to be different was some new cars and tracks.

    NOT THE CASE.

I played it last night and it is by far more immersive than 2. It's a bigger leap forward than 2 was from 1. The tracks and cars are GORGEOUS. They've added a couple nice features for people who were intimidated by the first two, such as "Easy Upgrade" which mods your car enough to get it up to the next class spec. (I prefer to mod my car myself.) They also added a rewind function that allows you to immediately "undo" something you did.

Misjudge that turn? That's fine, hit rewind until you get back to a point that you can correct yourself. Call it a cheat but it allows you to really practice parts of a track over and over again until you're perfect....instead of having to restart the race.

The menus are pretty different from 2 but it doesn't take long to get used to. They also added a Stephen Fry like narrator a la Little Big Planet which helps explain things to you.

One thing to keep in mind is that if you want to get the full experience, you need a hard drive because this baby comes on two discs, one of which is nothing but content and if you want to access it you have to install that disk to your HD. (The game will give you the opportunity to do this during setup.)

AWESOME game. I'm getting it via Gamefly for $42 w/ free shipping. (I have a subscription.)
