Did anybody ever receive rebate form Foxxonn ? I think Foxconn only care about Dell/HP/Gateway.

BTW Ben- can we have some decent 775 M/B ? Thank you

Good board, set up 2 systems with it so far with zero problems. However... this has been the standard price for weeks.. not a deal.

I have got all the rebates from Foxconn. But it was tricky, you have to go to online register the rebates then mail all the documents together to them. And the awaiting is longer than they said (8-12 weeks). Good thing is I eventually got the checks.

This is the lowest price of AM2/AM2+ board you can get. Foxconn offers some utilities program such as Fox one etc. which used to moniter your system, overclocking and one click to update the BIOS. It's quite a neat.

#3, I would suggest that you wait on a deal for a 780G or 790G motherboard. In fact, that is what I'm doing.

I never received my rebates from Foxconn. I would assume that the cost to you is $50 and if you get the rebate, it's a bonus.

#3, #5 is correct. The 780G is well worth an HTPC setup, and if you can afford a 790GX, that would be even better. I only had a 780G, so I couldn't compare -- but from what I have read, it is worth waiting.

There is lot buzz on the internet about rebate issues. Check out one of many links. It sounds like it is just tricky not a scam.

I was looking at this mobo yesterday and decided to get this one for $14 more but no rebate and a better board.

I got the ECS version of this board with a OEM Phenom 9750 for $130 on black saturday (fry's B&M). Seems solid, but thought I could do better with the 780 version:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813135075

then I find out this board only supports CPUs up the 95w, whereas mine is a 125w.

Anyone have any suggestions for another 780 based board?

I was able to pick up a Gigabyte 740G from amazon for $40 after a $10 Bill Me Later discount... much better deal and it still might be going on.

This is a great deal for an office/email/web surfing box, or maybe to build yourself a small fileserver with a low end $20 CPU. Having GbE, DVI and the 16X PCIe slot is a bonus.
