initially this looks interesting.

but my experience is that AMD/Radeon boxes dont do so well as HTPC under linux. still need another $100 for W7.

Maybe a cheap linux box for the kids, but thats about it. they wont be happy about gameplay, so maybe just a decent linux box for grandma.
