Would be a cheap build with features, such as HDMI, if you wanted an Intel.

I wouldn't even recommend this board, yet alone a processor for it. Does NOT support Dual Channel Ram and that will hinder performance a lot more than one would imagine, More so @ Vista. But MS "7" will be out soon and all shall be good again in WindowsWorld?

People building a system with one of these generally aren't doing anything requiring ultimate performance, it's unlikely single channel memory would be noticed in use, including merely running an OS whether it be Vista or Win7. What it would impact the most is 3D gaming with the integrated video but let's face it, nobody is buying integrated 7100 video for gaming.

#5 is smoking crack. Taken from Newegg's website "Memory Standard DDR2 1066(OC)/800" Granted its not the best speed, but for web surfing/HTPC use, its fine

Not that I need to explain myself..... However, The post is more "Informative" than it is stating how badly the 630i chipset sucks. There are those like #7 who think they know everything, leaving this conversation moot. Pasting the memory standard has nothing to do with what I posted, moron. You're one of the few that should never peel the void-warranty sticker from your Dell side panel.... Moron ;/

Actually this is a low end motherboard with enough features for a HTPC computer. Not a bad price at $50 without having to send in for rebate. The memory performance will suffer since it does not support dual channel memory, e, your dual channel memory functions only as single channel. I have an EVGA made 7100/630i motherboard which is very similar to this one and it doesn't even have a HDMI port. I think this board is a better buy than mine with less cost and no rebate.
