Don't know nothin' about Mimi's Cafe. None within 25 miles, but some shown in my dying state.
the food is pretty good. if it wasnt on the other side of town would eat there more often.
Great food if you're a senior citizen, and boy do they pack them in to this place! Not so impressed, most of the food is bland.
It's supposed to be N'awlins themed. They regularly rotate their meals and you get fresh bread rolls and carrot cake when seated. Their 3 course "just enough" deal is pretty good (unless you're the type that can eat a horse) for $13. I suppose one of their better meals is the Teryaki Salmon, which is about $13 (comes on Jasmine rice with Asparagus) and their clam chowder on Fridays is OK. And don't forget happy hour - $2 off wine/carrottails/appetizers. I rarely get a bad meal, the kids can get healthy meals and the staff are pleasant. They always seem to be busy, which says a lot for a restaurant who's prices aren't particularly cheap.
IMHO, Mimi's is one of the better restaurant chains. The food and service, at least at the restaurant I eat at, is superb. Their sandwiches are huge.
Their corn chowder soup is also excellent. Sometimes, I go there just for a huge bowl of soup.

Just eat the dry muffin they give you.
