Free is good, but spam is bad... and that's what a spam email address is for.
I signed up. EGM is a good magazine.
Let's hope we get our free subscription.
I think they offer this once a year or more. I'm still receiving my free EGMs, but I signed up again anyway.
ifriedrice - you are a pig. If you get 2 of these next month, I hope you feel like baconnaise.
This is good if you use a spam email account. But there has been heavy rumor that EGM may go online only (1up.com) in the coming months.
I wouldn't consider this a trade mag, but it's still filled with ads. Personally, starting at metacritic.com is the best place to find reviews.
#5 you could be right as several hard copy magazines are considering this. PC Magazine have just gone digital and I suspect that Maximum PC and PC World are leading up to this but I hope I'm wrong.
My subscription runs out in 2026 now.
You spam conspiracy theorists need to get a grip. Maybe they sign you up for some kind of email newsletter, which you easily unsubscribe from if you're not interested. Period.
#3 is right, I see this mag up for free like 2~3 times a year, I always wondered how they stay in business all these years
Just signed up. I need some decent reading material while I sit on the porcelain throne. =D
This is good for kids 15 and under.
I like free stuffs!
I look forward to this every month. I am in.
Beggars can't be choosers
A good magazine for console gameing, but look elsewhere for info on pc gaming.
Mags stay in business from Ad revenue... which they typically make the most of their money from. Giving away free subscriptions helps show companies they have a large distribution, which lets them charge a higher rate for ad space... free is a win-win for the Mag and us
I considered this, but as others stated, there is much talk circulating that EGM will be online-only in the near future. My current free sub already runs through 2015, if the mag stays around that long.
in for one -thanks ben
SWEEETT! i missed this deal last time around. I ended up settling for a free PC Magazine subscription. This is what i really wanted though. Thanks Ben.
