Yes, they're still trying to fix the mess when OneCare wiped out thousands of people's Outlook files last week with the DST change.
I could crap better software than this.
What pisses me off is after spending $30 bucks on this a few months ago, it is not compatible with Vista, you have to purchase a new copy. What the hell, I thought I may have a few software glitches with Vista from other firms, not Microsoft. However, I have only had problems with MS software working with MS Vista - WTF?
Gee, you think they are forcing you to upgrade to the latest version?
Wake up. Microsloth cares much more about their revenue stream then they care about your user experience.

I have Vista and OneCare just work fine with it. You don't need to purchase any new copy. All you need just go to OneCare website, download and install new version from there and then just use the serial number you already have and it will work just fine for 1 year and 3 computer. I did it and it worked for me and for many of my friends. So no reason to be sad, mad or anything.

Then Please do that and come with better software. If you or anybody can come with better software why you guys don't do it!? You do it and design a better software so people will buy it, you make money and people will be happy too. So you guys what are you waiting for if you can do it!?
Well, I have to say I know many of you are against Microsoft but I am not. Iam not afraid of saying that and maybe many of you guys hate me for this. But you guys that against Microsft must be a little more fair and honest. Actually they have many good products that you can not find any other products even close to them.
I agree that Microsoft products are a little expensive and It will be much better if they reduce prices but that doesn't mean their works, products, and softwares are bad.
I am sure if each one of us design and come with a new software we will sell it for same price if not more. Come on guys be more fair and honest.

Besides, I'm not saying I hate Microsoft. I'm just saying they suck, that's all. And when I think of the word "Security", I don't even consider Microsoft to be in the running.
Don't even compare 'Linux' with 'Windows'. There is no way you can compare it with 'Windows'. I know you are probably not agree with me and thats fine. You have your own opinion. But I had a lot exprience with Windows, Linux, and even Apple. They are not better than windows.
Of course not all people around the world use 'Windows' but you can tell almost all so when you think of the word 'Security' you should think about this fact that people try to break and design viruses for 'Windows' because it is more popular so they can harm more people or make more money.
So lets change the world in a way eveybody use 'Linux' or Apple instead of 'Windows' then what will happen?
Of course then hackers and virus programmers go for 'Linux' and Apple as their target becuase they can harm more people. Why wasting time to write a virus or try to find a way to hack OS which just 5% of all people around the world use!?
You can not ignore that other 95% because if they are sick they want to harm more people and If they are after money then they can make more money from that 95%.
I think if you look at it this way you can see 'Windows' and 'Microsoft' are not suck or bad. They just have to deal with a lot more enemy and hackers because their OS use almost everywhere. So you should give them some credit. And of course they find ways to protect computers more and more everyday. Thats why you can see 'Windows' getting better and better.
If all of these hackers and virus progammeres right now just decide to attack Apple or 'Linux' these two will be out in a short period of time. The reason some people think these two are better is becuase these two never challenged like 'Windows'. If they did then...
Believe me, I use internet a lot and visit many many websites eveyday for many different things and spend a lot of time during the day in front of computer and internet and until now after all of these years 'Windows' worked for me just fine and my computer and data protected enough and now with this 'OneCare' and 'Vista' even more.
Maybe it didn't work for you the way it worked for me, I don't know. But at the end its your choice to choose be on that 5% side or 95% side. And of course you can choose your favorite OS and security software.

Thanks WildShadow, I will try that. MS is usually not stupid enough to be so greedy, especially when the Vista I have is a free upgrade and I am thinking of spending $200 on Vista Ultimate for my desktop. If I can not get my OneCare to work that will not happen simply out of spite.
For the rest of the MS haters, lets face it, Windows is still the OS of choice and convenience for the world. How user friendly is Linux, etc. for the average consumer? Apple's OS was so popular and convenient they decided to use Intel chips and Window's OS for what reason??? Yes each has its own place in the market, Windows just so happens to own about 90% of that place.

You Welcome. I am sure it will work because it works for me and many people that I know. And Vista Ultimate that you mention, I have it and it just great. And about what you said about Apple I agree. Actually 'Apple Mac' not exist anymore. They just another PC maker and they just fool people by not using Intel Inside logo.

If you guys really have knowledge about computers and software or have a good reason to say something different against other people opinion, then just post your reasons and say it and let people know your reasons too maybe you will be right.
Otherwise stop talking like losers. The way you guys just talk only show one thing: A Person without any knowledge about these things and just jealous because the rest know more than them. So instead of posting like that go read, study and research. Maybe one day you guys have knowledge about these things too and instead of posting these B.. you have something to say about computer and technology.
