Actually it is good. I have it on Vista and it works fast and perfect. Don't listen to those people who hates Microsft.

why would you pay for these utilities when you can get better freeware to do the same thing for you at no extra cost?

Some people probably like all-in-one. Less clutter in the system tray.

Avast has everything that you would want running continuously (antivirus, firewall, popup blocker, etc)

Some/most broadband (dsl/cable) comes with this stuff included in the price.

Other things like adware removers you do not want running constantly anyways.

because it is microsoft, I expected it to really slow your computer. $50 per year is expensive. If you get this you will have to remove it in 90 days, or pay...what a pain

#3 how much memory do you have on your vista computer?
what I object to is companies selling computers with 512 mb with vista...when it needs 2gb to run right.

Very bad virus software. horrible at detecting virus compared to othere software like AVG.
