Nice camera. It takes pictures quickly and it also has the face recognition feature and internal zoom. I'm glad that Fuji finally gave up on the xD memory and switched to SD!

Probably ok camera if you need to get one today. The picture quality is not so good though. A few weeks back I was able to get the canon sd1000 for about the same price after coupon.

I wish camera makers would stop shoving extra pixels that are useless in a camera like this, instead of keeping with the F30 style in the older Fuji's that can take good pictures down to 1600 ISO. People are stupid sheep and buying for the high megapixels. Get a F20 from Overstock for about the same price shipped and you will have a much better camera.

    #4 That's what I've said all along, and I love my Fuji F31fd. Recently I got F50fd because it's thinner, but ISO1600 and IS3200 isn't as good as F31fd.

Admit it #5, the REAL reason you gave up your vastly overrated F31fd was because Time Magazine was indeed correct when it said that the F31fd was the "worst digital camera ever made in the entire history of the Universe!" *smirk*

I don't upgrade for pixel count, but sometimes a new camera has a feature, like macrofocus or higher frame-rate video, that my existing unit lacks and I end up upgrading anyway.

I'd gladly pay the same price for a new camera with all the new features, but instead of a higher pixel count, a higher-quality CCD with lower noise. But they'll never sell cameras that way. Sad

It is one of the point and shoot camera that people actually remember, when so many go by without mention a year later. The reason? The Fuji SuperCCD that takes pictures with as much noise at 1600 ISO as almost all others have a 200 ISO. The difference in real picture quality is amazing.
