the hp photosmart r727 is the top rated digital camera. just go to pcworld.com and check out the reviews. only cost $179.99 for 6.2mp, 3x optical zoom and 2.5 lcd screen.
Yea, and it's three times as much. Thanks for the advise.
I considered this for my 13yr old, then noticed the XD part and went with the 5MP samsung at Sears for $99 with SD for memory:-)
Sears item#00353526000
#3 But 1GB high speed (Type H) xD only cost $22 on buy.com, total is still lower than the samsung, which is not in the same league with Fuji.
Sorry but Samsung is in the same league... it's just not THIS cheap.
The question is really, do you wanna put $ into special flash formats. Some people will, it's a good deal for the camera, but I like universal compatibility with other devices, SD is what I require on a camera.
If you are going to buy the Fuji A400, you may as well order either Epson PictureMate Deluxe or Epson A260 printer in a separate and Google Checkout, making the set $47 after $100 Printer+camera bundle rebate.
#5 No Samsung is not in the same league. Name 1 camera, any brand, that can compare to Fuji F30 in picture quality, sharpness, noise? Even when Canon cannot match it, you know Samsung is not in the same league. Even the long zoom s6000fd is unmatched in its class, beating every 7 and most 8mp cameras.
Samsung copies DSLR from Pentax. They do start to make decent compact and sub-compact, but pictures are not as good as the big boys'.
If Fuji installs internal 2GB memory and charge 50 bucks more, I don't think that will stop you or anybody from buying it. The fact one has to buy a $22 1GB high speed card should not stop anybody from buying a great camera like F30 or s6000fd. Universal compatibility doesn't mean much. Does it make any sense to pop in SD card full of camera pictures into the wii or a pocket PC? Compatibility is nice, but you're unlikely to have 3 or 4 SD devices sharing 1 SD card. You probably will want at least 1 for each.
Did VHS-C do well because of compatibility with VHS, or did 8mm succeed? I think you know the answer to that.
Agree, I had a Nikon, Olympus, Kodak and Fuji camera. Samsung does not measure up...yet. I like SD too, both my HP laptops have an SD slot and it is very easy to move pictures to my computers without a USB cable. That said I also bought my Fuji F30 for the great pictures it takes not because of the card it uses. I got rid of all my other point and shoot cameras and settled with my F30. Get the F20 if F30 is too expensive for your taste.
Samsung outmatch Fujifilm? wtf r u smokin? I've had fuji 2 n 3mp cams take better quality shots than a co-workers 5mp samsung. Its all about the lens people....Nikon, cannon, Fuji etc. these are camera manufacturers and samsung just buys other off-brand electronics and puts their name on it. geesh
Sorry, but independant reviews prove otherwise, Samsung does measure up in the SAME CLASS OF CAMERA.
We're not talking about DSLR, and #8 is an rodeo cowboy for putting Kodak on the list because they're truely turds (in this class of camera).
