Also rated very highly by the NY Times: FUJIFILM FINEPIX F60FD ($220). A fast, solid, clearly designed camera. Good exposures, nice work in low light — no doubt because it has the biggest sensor of the contest (0.625 inches diagonally, rather than the usual 0.4). Features you can really use, like one that snaps both a flash and a no-flash picture simultaneously. Manual controls, too. Picture quality very good. Question: Why isn't Fujifilm a better-known player?
Good question. Here is another question for you. Why is it that Fuji F31fd consistently sells above its MSRP on eBay?
Don't worry, Fuji is doing very well. People who do their homework will know Fuji F100fd/F60fd/F50fd/F31fd/F30fd are the best cameras in their class. rodeo cowboy who don't know anything will tend to buy Canon or Nikon because they are the safer choice. They make decent cameras across the board, and they are better than Kodak and no-name brands. They are just not as good as Fuji F100fd.
The fuji cameras with the superccd are about 1 stop better than anyone else , good in low light. At least this one will take an sd card (as well as the slow xd). This retailer is a little iffy, they will try to sell you very expensive accessories.
You may want to make sure this "dealer" is Fuji's
authorized online dealers. That's requirement for the rebate.

Why not buy it from Newegg or B&H for the same price?
Caution, BuyDig was once one of those New York city spots selling brown box (no warranty in the US) cameras on the net. It may be involved in a group of other shops who call back after you make an order to sell you extra crap or ask if you want to spend more on the proper US release...buyer beware..
