My daughter is a Vet, and she says these things work quite well.
Yeah I've heard good things about these too, especially if you have a dog with a double coat. Still kind of expensive for a comb though.

I wouldn't ever pay $50 for a dog brush, but I will say that it works a thousand times better than any other dog brush I've tried. Our Chocolate Lab enjoys being brushed in general, but loves the Furminator. We've been brushing her every other day and the amount of shedding inside the house has decreased by at least 50-75%.
Two paws up for the Furminator.
