#4 – You're must be thinking of a "Ti" (GK106) version, not this GK107 part. And it's understandable as Nvidia released these GK107 parts (GT640 with DDR5) with no real fanfare. It released Sept 13th behind the GTX660 and many either weren't provide cards to test, or just went with the mainstream part that grabs more site hits. You should read these links.
The Galaxy being sold here is clocked at 1100Mhz, while here's the KFA² (made by Galaxy) GTX 650 EX OC at 1111Mhz, it is clearly behind against the reference 7770 some 18-20%. Now with 12.11 drivers 7770's provide about another five percent. One other thing is the efficiency the 7770 is still 8% better perf/watt’s. http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/KFA2/GTX_650_EX_OC/1.html
Tweaktown 4 days ago reviewed a MSI Power Edition (1124Mhz) and it won one title Lost plant, although couldn't take more Nvidia centric titles like HAWX II, Mafia II, Metro, Dirt3, A-P, Just Cause, Fry Cry. "The model on a whole isn't great when it comes to performance as you see it struggle at 1680 x 1050 under most games... for the most part max in game settings isn't going to be an option." http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/5007/msi_geforce_gtx_650_1gb_power_edition_video_card_review/index1.html
Again the MSI Power Edition and 7770 at 1920x1080 and a 650 hold its own with some Dx11 titles, like Lost Planet 2 and Metro 2033 where the 650 PE OC gains over the reference 7770 although that's not saying much at 27Fps at that resolution it's not at all playable. http://www.hitechlegion.com/reviews/graphics/31205-msi-gtx-650-pe-oc?limit
That's more like it!
But still there's this it was only $78 yesterday! Now

That 7770 is $120 -$20 = $100. At least it shows up that way now
"Long time viewer first time poster"
I have no idea why anyone would go with the slower 7770 and clearly below this card in so many aspects.

Tom's almost as an afterthought ran a Gigabyte GTX650 OC (1111Mhz) at 1920x1080. As a final point saiying, "In any case, we'd happily endorse the $110 GeForce GTX 650 as an alternative to the 7750, which also retains its recommendation."
