I have the 1490LMT. I bought it new, and it came with lifetime maps and traffic. I love it. If I had one thing that I would improve on, it would be that it would warn you when going faster than the speed limit, or 5mph over. It has the speed limit on the screen, but no way to warn you. I had a TomTom that had the warning. Seems like that would be simple for Garmin to do.

bought this back in october for around double the price. Mine tends to reboot itself a couple of times randomly during roughly a 5hour drive. Other than that it works great, both here and in Ireland

Be ware of the warranty on "refurbished" Garmin GPS's. Garmin's policy is that the warranty started with the original purchase, but is transferable. If the original purchase was over a year ago then there is no warranty from Garmin.

Same applies to updatable maps. Each Nuvi gets one free update within 30 days of original purchase. One update is about $50, or lifetime updates about $70. Or you can buy this unit outright new with lifetime map updates for under $200 which in my opinion renders $102 refurbished as a questionable value.
