Great unit...but you can get the 200W wide screen for this price on sale.....the only draw back of the 200 series is no text to speech...so it will say turn left in 300 feet instead of turn left on main street in 300 feet...still a great all around unit...but the extra wide screen is nice...

The 200 Series will also prompt to turn left at the turn. I'd get the 200W. Don't buy anything from TigerDirect. I got the 660 and am pleased with the performance including the FM broadcasting, Bluetooth and text to voice.

One quirk I did notice was during a trip from Point A to Point B and back, it gave different results for the trip from A to B than B back to A.

I bought this awhile ago for $200. I can say that for the price it is not too shabby. The auto reroute is a tad slow but you can't expect 10 stars for everything. Overall the size, included accessories, ease of use, and language options makes this a good gift for someone that is not too tech savvy. Very good entry level GPS... easy for the "mom".

#5, it will even quote you that night's price in text-to-speech. The 200HIV model will even quote the date of the girls latest Hep-C test

Don't go for wide screen baconnaise if you want to put this in your pocket everytime I have Nuvi 660 and it sucks a big ass time because if its size (wide screen). The mp3 player in these GPS units is so basic and shitty though I mine have FM transmitter I cannot use it to it's full potential because of crappy basic mp3 player. You cannot make a play list ( I inserted a 2 GB SD card and it as lot of songs that I don't want to hear many times) no equalizer.

Text To speech is a very important feature which is what Nuvi's were famous for now with this baconnaise ass 200 series they made GPS units at par with Magellan etc.,

I noticed that 2002 Acura GPS navigation system is more accurate than Nuvi 660

TTS is quite important, spend a little more, it's worth it.

Wand, the Nuvi 260 does TTS. It is good business to make a variety of products that fit all customers' needs. Just because Garmin makes a low-end 200 series GPS doesn't mean they are all crap. John Deere's 100 series lawn tractors are built no better than a Sears Craftsman, etc., but that doesn't mean their X-series are built the same way.

#10, it's the next generation. If you want the c330 you should probably verify that you can get the newest maps loaded into it. I think that might be the model that doesn't have enough memory for the new maps. So it's obsolete before you even buy it (although it'll still work with the old maps).

All things equal, I'd go with a Nuvi model over the older c3xx models. I got the 200 for $179 at Amazon at xmas time...
