other than the mio 310 which is not made any more, the garmin nuvi are my favorite GPSs. much better than the tomtom one or magellan. this is a good deal

This sucks, I bought the same unit from bestbuy on black friday after waiting almost 24 hours for a ton of stuff I wanted. I got it for 189.99 form bestbuy, and here it is for 130.

Well it's a good piece. Couldn't be more satisfied.

after using this for about 6 months id say roughly half of the points of interest are completely wrong. buildings that dont exist, have been changed, etc. make sure you know the right address before setting out and it should get you there tho

#7 Agreed. I have the same thing. POI's are way out of date. It takes forever to acquire a signal. Map updates are so $$$ that you might as well just get a new unit. Also, does not speak out the street names (but you knew that going in). Still, it's well built, and when it works, it can be a lifesaver. I personally prefer TomTom.

Not sure if you are saying that it SHIPS with out-of-date maps. If so, I believe Garmin offers a single free update to the latest map if within 30 days of purchase.

#9 You're absolutely right! I meant any updates after the one freebie is $$$.
