Consider yourself lucky. This is a refurb that newegg ships to you. Mine came in a loose box and the thing was dirty. It was obvious that they just resold a defective return.

Reading comments on refurb GPS units from newegg shows that that is what they do - ship out used GPS's that were returned. They are not refurbished at all. People find items missing etc. I would not buy a refurb GPS from newegg.
