#1, do you know the difference between a new unit and a refurb? Get your facts straight. Besides, not all deals are good deals. If you're too lazy to weed through it yourself, just send me your credit card and I'll do the decision making and purchasing for you.
This is a new unit. The costco unit is the 265T, which is the 3.5in model. This unit is actually well liked by most. CNET gave it a "very good" rating and the price is as low as I have seen it(list price $299). It has many of the bells and whistles that you expect from the more expensive units. I wouldn't say that this is "garbage" at all....
