I was 2 second away from buying this and NewEgg raised the price up to $149.99 with the $20 off coupon it makes it $5 more expensive than it was just on sale for.
I have this and it completely sucks. It frequently keeps rebooting every 30 minutes. I'm not so surprised to see it's at cheap price. Don't know why it had 4 blue bars?
get the 265wt instead, around the same price, difference lifetime traffic updates
I just got this. I hope I don't get the one that reboots often. At least it's from Newegg and they have a good return/exchange policy.
Got one for $107.00 good deal, Amazon has it for $126.98 no tax and free shipping...better deal now than Newegg. Enjoy!
Does this one capture NASA and International Space Station signals? Does it record megapixels? I don't see the value in signal acquistion deflection if the unit is incapable of recluse modular frequency harmonics. I think the Questuhar 4XC-9856 is a better unit for transponding Quixotic resonance.
Wow, MSN direct, frequent reboots, sounds like there is a lot of Microsoft influence in this product!
i had a magellan, heard good things about the Garmin routing engine and got the 200W. Now i want my magellan back.
The 285W and 265W are the same device, the "T" part is different. 285 has (pay for) MSN service, 265 has ad-supported ('free') FM traffic.
I have the 285 and it doesn't reboot. Try loading the latest firmware if you have this problem.
Garmins are way overrated. I have a Nuvi 350. The routing is meh, and I hate the cartoonish map graphics. The extra features are mostly worthless to me, like the mp3 player, etc. I just bought an open-box Navigon for under $50, and other than somewhat slow sat acquisition (which I was aware of), it rocks. Yes, I know Navigon is not actively in North America anymore, but they still update the maps; my FreshMaps sub is good until 2/2012. burp Garmin want a hundred bucks for one update...screw that.
I ditched my Garmin for a TomTom. Now I think I might get a Garmin again. TomTom has frequent sat. locating problems.
gotta make sure you get the right chipset
