This is one of the best GPS Navigator. I used it during my trip to California. I had no problem driving from San Fran to San Diego. While I was there, I bought one for my uncle. He really loves it.

#2, I had no problem driving from San Fran to San Diego either without the Garmin Nuvi 350. It was actually quite easy. I jumped on the highway and followed the signs. If you needed a GPS to help you do that, I'm afraid you probably should not be on the road.

I love my Nuvi, but FBT is right...I think I would just get on the Pacific Coast Highway and head South. Toddsucks2 would also tell us (quite politely, I'm sure) to go buy an F-ing $2 map.

Which way did you go #2? Did you take the 80 east to the 580 east and then the I-5 south? (probably faster). Or did you head down the coast on the 101 and go through SLO, Santa Barbara and Ventura?(more scenic) Although scenic, sticking to Highway 1 (pacific coast highway) might double your travel time.

I am glad your trip went well. Good GPS

I have the 360. It is 10 better.

Seriously though, this is a better GPS than 99% of you will ever need (myself included).

The 360 gives you bluetooth. The garmin's strength is their POI database. Finding things near where you are is great. The bluetooth feature in the 360 lets you dial a PIO by touching it on the screen so you can talk to them (ordering that pizza) while you get directions to drive there.

#6, the 101 South to the 152 East (Pacheco) to I-5 South is the fastest route...

And #3, there are no signs that tell you how to get to San Diego from San Jose.

This is a great GPS. I bought the 360 for my girlfriend as she travels regularly for work, and she absolutely loves it. In retrospect, the Bluetooth capability of the 360 isn't worth the extra money over the 350, because phone call quality is poor, and the person on the other line can hear themselves via a poorly designed speaker-microphone feedback loop.

At this price, the Garmin 350 is highly recommended, but keep in mind official map updates aren't free..

Walmart sells the 2009 Garmin maps for $68.88. However, I have heard that some people are getting the 2009 maps just for registering their GPS units online with Garmin.

I have the 350 and it's very good. getting to Sf is easy, finding your way around the city is harder and the Nuvi is the best thing you can have. Just get in the car enter where you want to go and drive. It might not take you on the best way as a local will drive but it'll get you there.
      194$ is a good deal.
