It's $304 new at Amazon.
I know that this is Garmin (better brand), but why would you pay over $300 for GPS that you can get for half the price somewhere else? This one has mp3 player and photo viewer but you already probably have mp3 or CD player in you car and how often you entertain your passenger with slideshow in your car?
False advertising. This thing doesn't work in your pocket.
Agreed, #2. Get a TomTom one device or similar. Garmin is OVERPRICED. Having used this firsthand, it is no better than my new TomTom one device which cost 1/3 the price (on black friday that is).
#4, does your tomtom speak the street names to you?
And Ben, what the burp? $304 new on Amazon with free shipping, or $317 for a refurb from JR? Great deal, douche.
#5, No, the TomTom One does not, but who really needs that?
It's actually quite helpful when there are multiple streets near each other, and instead of the box saying "Turn left," it says "turn left on 9th street."
I've used both Garmin and TomTom, and it's the little features like that which make the Garmin #1.
Garmin is a bit over priced but you get what you pay for. This is a 2 year old model which is still selling strong! I personally wouldn't but a refurb at this price though, I've seen it selling for $300 new.
#5, since you asked, yes my TomTom one has TTS and speaks names. Want to know how to unlock that feature on the TT one? google it.
Congrats #9, you have to essentially hack your GPS to bring it up to the functionality of my Garmin. I'd rather not waste my time carroting around with a piece of garbage that should come with TTS standard. Maybe next time?
Costco.com has the Garmin 650 for 449.99 with a 150.00 off coupon. Putting it at 299.99. No rebates. Offer ends the 10th of Dec.
cleverendeavor, The hack was extremely easy to do, and there are more out there too for other things such as expanding bluetooth functions, sd card music and video playback etc.
Sounds like you're just jealous you didn't get the deal? Don't worry though there will be more deals to be had after xmas. "Maybe next time!"
not worth it..bacon was $300 on black friday for new...why buy refurb?
