pricey
worth every penny...great price at 299
I wonder how much of the 2GB is actually free to be loaded with MP#s, audiobooks, etc...
#3 It has an SD card slot available if you want to load it up as a personal media player.
This Paypal deal has me itching to spend more money. Too bad I spent it all on BF.
#1, this is the cheapest price I have seen on the nuvi 360.
#2, You can store the songs in an SD card and plug it in. You can also create separate playlists for grouping them. I use a cassette adapter to connect this to the car audio. That way I can hear the music and directions in the car stereo. It pauses the music for giving directions.
Good price for this unit. I never find myself using the MP3 player or JPEG functions so for the budget-minded, the Nuvi 260 should provide the same functionality without the fluff. No BT on that one though.
The Mio c520 does everything the Nuvi 360 does and more.
Even plays .mp4 video and shows photos smoothly.
It does an excellent job of it's main function, being a great GPS device. The rest is icing on the cake. I bought it a few weeks ago on sale at Dell for $279.99 + tax delivered. Free shipping.
The Mio c520 is a terrific unit! Worth every penny!
Alan
By the way, the Mio c520 is on sale again. See the following link:

i never understood why you'd wanna play MP3's in a GPS system meant for speech. the quality must be terrible..
#8 - this link seems to refer to a unit with only European maps, did you buy the US version?
How do you get the Paypal discount? I don't see the instructions for it. Is there a coupon code?
Nevermind, I found out how to get the paypal discount...
Can someone explain how to get the paypal discount? I went on Dell.com and there's nothing about Paypal there, even talked to their sales reps, they also don't know.
#10 -Euro maps are with the X7X series (670, 770, 370, etc) only
Here are the details of the Paypal promotion (NewEgg has discontinued the promotion and Dell may have also, though I'm not sure): https://www.paypal-promo.com/holiday/slider/index.html
That is an excellent price. I bought mine a little over a year ago and it is one of the few electronic toys that I still use after a year of ownership. I even use it on my motorcycle instead of getting the dedicated Zumo model. In fact, I accidentally dropped it from my motorcycle while riding at 45mph, and other than a few scratches it's still in good working order.
#3, there's about 500 to 700 MB remaining (depending on upgrades and languages you install) for MP3, audio books, dictionaries, language translation databases, etc.
#9, I doubt they use the same circuitry for text-to-speech and MP3. The sound quality is pretty good when heard through headphones. But the GPS unit only has a single speaker.
According to the promotion details at Paypal, you won't see the discount in your Dell cart. It will be adjusted in your Paypal account.
"Not a Dell offer. Cash back payment will be deposited into Paypal account and will not be reflected in your Dell cart."
The problem with this and any other GPS unit is that too many people are buying them for Christmas gifts etc... When they all start using them, the satellites will be overloaded, not unlike servers, and may crash or even fall out of orbit. This is a fact the big companies don't reveal to working people spending their money.
#18 - What have you been smoking? A GPS only receives signals from the satellites. If too many people listen to the same radio station, does the station crash?
ha a satellite fall out of space... quite absurd
